HISTORY
Team manager, Mark Burdett started racing karts in 1989 and competed in the British Championships. He then moved into single-seater racing in 1992 in the Formula-First Winter Series.

1993 saw Mark race for the British Motorsport Foundation Junior Team in the National Formula First Championship.

In 1994, Mark Burdett Motorsport (MBM) was established to focus on racecar preparation, winning the National Formula First Championship title at the first attempt in 1995. The team proceeded to dominate the Formula First championship tables, winning the National title four times and the winter championship twice between 1994 and 2000.

Having developed and trained championship winning drivers such as Danny Watts and Robbie Kerr who had moved on to dominate the Formula Renault and Formula 3 championships the team was now ready for a step up to Formula Renault.

During 2001 - 2002 the team undertook an extensive testing and development program in preparation for 2003.

Returning to the Formula Renault UK Championship for 2003 brought team sponsorship from Cadbury Schweppes. In the most competitive season in the history of the championship, the team made fantastic progress with lead driver Alex Storckenfeldt. The highlight of the year being podium finishes in the final two meetings of the season. By the season's end, the so called 'top 3' Formula Renault teams had become the 'top 4' to include Mark Burdett Motorsport

The 2003 Winter Championship again made clear the MBM intention to become the leading team for 2004, with Peru's Juan Polar qualifying second before crashing out from the front of the pack. Polar remained at the team to be re-joined by Storckenfeldt. An extensive winter test program and the team was ready to win.

2004 saw lead driver, Storckenfeldt win at Silverstone and challenge for 3rd in the championship until a karting accident broke his collarbone causing him to miss two rounds. Alex recovered to finish the season in 4th place overall.

2005 Saw the team expand into the Formula BMW UK Championship, to run two rookie drivers, Aaron Steele and Ed Hoy. Hoy was replaced mid season by 2004 Formula BMW UK Championship runner up, Philip Glew. Philip joined the team and immediately demonstrated the pace of the car, securing podium finishes in both races on his return to the championship

During his 6 races as a guest driver with the team, Philip finished on the podium 4 times from his 6 races.

2006 saw the team enter a two car team in Formula Renault and withdraw from the Formula BMW championship after the drivers experienced budget difficulties before the start of the season. Markus Niemela went from strength to strength, becoming especially strong in the second half of the season, taking 3 podium finishes including one win, one fastest lap and one pole position.

2007 Sho Hanawa and Daniel Iverson in the UK Formula Renault Championship, with Paul Rees joining half way though the season. In the Barc Formula Renault Championship Ollie Hancock finished in 3rd place in the championship along with a win and podium places.

For the Winter series Johannes Seidlitz, Fredrick Blomstedt and Scott Jenkins join the team.

2008 Thomas Hylkema and Fredrick Blomstedt Raced for Mark Burdett Motorsport in UK Formula Renault making good progress during their rookie season, and Thomas also completed in the Renault Winter series. Johannes Seidlitz and James Dixon in Barc Formula Renault with Johannes taking 2nd in championship.

Additional members of the team are high respected and experience engineer Andy Miller. Robbie Kerr for driver development.

2009 - In the UK Formula Renault Championship Mark Burdett Motorsport Jesse Krohn challenge for the championship with Race win, Podiums and fastest laps. Jesse finished in 6th place in Championship.

2010 - The team will be entering in the UK Formula Renault Championship.
