Mark Burdett Motorsport is running a driver development programme for drivers interested in furthering their preparation and development in their motorsport career. The team can provide the appropriate environment and infrastructure required that will allow each and every individual driver to explore and maximise their potential. Following an initial briefing and assessment session on simulator we will offer a needs-led bespoke driver development programme and create the structure and support required. The Cars used for on track testing are 2012 UK Spec Formula Renault which are prepared and maintained to the highest standard.
The Team Engineer – Andy Miller Andy has a wealth of experience within the motor racing industry from F3, GP2, Formula 1 and has worked with developing drivers in their early stages of their career. His role in the program is to work with the drivers to analysis and interpret the telemetry data looking at the driver's steering/brake/throttle input which can then be interpreted in order to improve the driver's performance, highlight any weaknesses and areas for further and continuous improvement. Driver Coach – Robbie Kerr Robbie has vast experience with A1GP, World Series and winning the British Formula 3 Championship in 2002. From the outset of the programme Robbie will work with the drivers in a number of ways, via the in-car camera system and observing the drivers at various points on the circuit during the practice session. He will discuss and describe the correct racing lines and techniques required to improve both the car and drivers performance. Robbie can also set a reference benchmark on the day, for lap time and data in the same conditions. |
