
Mark Burdett Motorsport has today confirmed sixteen-year-old Brazilian driver Gabriel Casagrande in their multi-car line-up. The Brazilian driver has an exciting history to date, competing in more than 90 races over the past three years and conquering six championships and six vice championships on the way. Working alongside Ricardo Zonta , Enrique Bernoldi and Julio Campos, Gabriel’s most recent accomplishment was grabbing 3rd place in the famous 500 miles kart race organised by Rubens Barrichello.
With a detailed testing program confirmed during February, Gabriel will be working with the teams engineer and driver coach Andy Miller, Robbie Kerr in his preparation for his UK racing debut.
Mark Burdett added; I am pleased announce Gabriel has sign for the team for the 2012 UK Formula Renault Championship and we are all looking forward to working with Gabriel during the season. At Mark Burdett Motorsport we have created a structure within the team to help Gabriel develop and further his motorsport career.
The first race of the 2012 UK Formula Renault Championship starts at Brands Hatch on the weekend of the 31st March – 1st April.
